Description

“Colour Drop” is an exploration of the vibrant spectrum of creativity that exists within each individual. The piece captures the essence of artistic expression as a fluid and dynamic process, symbolizing how ideas and inspirations can blend and evolve, much like the interplay of colours in a drop of paint.

The use of bold, saturated hues represents the diverse voices and perspectives that contribute to our collective creativity. Each colour signifies a unique thought, emotion, or experience, illustrating how they interact, contrast, and harmonize to form a cohesive whole. The flowing, organic shapes invite viewers to engage with the piece, encouraging them to reflect on their own creative journeys.

This artwork embodies the belief that creativity is not a linear path but a chaotic and beautiful dance of ideas. Just as colours can shift and transform, so too can our understanding and expression of art. “Colour Drop” serves as a reminder that creativity thrives in diversity, urging us to embrace our individual differences while celebrating the interconnectedness of our shared human experience.

In a world that often seeks to categorize and confine, this piece invites viewers to recognize the beauty in the unexpected and the power of imagination. Ultimately, “Colour Drop” is an invitation to dive into the richness of creativity and to honour the myriad ways it manifests in our lives.

This piece was in my head for well over 3 years until I was finally able to create it this year with the help of an amazing frame maker from Offally called Taght.

This piece is a double-sided art piece that is beautiful from any angle or side you view it from. It hangs proudly casting dancing shadows in a rainbow of colours. The light shines magically between each colour drop. You will see different colour combinations, hues, and shapes every time you look at the piece.

Utterly unique, never-been-done-before art piece that would be amazing in front of a window or stairwell. A modern take on stained glass.
